COMMUNITY HEALTH RESOURCE FAIR | Sponsored by the City of Phoenix Neighborhood Block Watch Grant Program, this annual event is free, family-friendly fun for the whole family - kids, teens, and adults! Past events have featured face painting, photo booth, jumper playhouse, caricature artist, food, entertainment, and lots more.
SAFE SCHOOLS | In partnership with community organizations, Teen Court and Peer2Peer workshop sessions are designed to increase civic responsibilities, and reduce crime and gang-related activity. Troubled youth and ex-felons re-entering the community have opportunities to develop positive character, self-esteem, and life-changing behaviors. Program deliverables are measured by event participation and attendance, community surveys, and numerous classes, conferences, events, and discussions held throughout the year.
COMMUNITY HEALTH | Healthcare providers such as Susan G. Komen Foundation are represented at the Crime Prevention and Health Fair Community Outreach Day of Celebration to provide free screenings to the community. Participants can donate blood at the United Blood Services Mobile donor van, which is typically onsite.
COMMUNITY WELLNESS | A 3-on-3 basketball tournament is coordinated for youth to gain and build trust within the community. Our successful collaborations with business owners, faith-based organizations, and other nonprofit organizations yield real results that are priceless. Approximately 250 volunteer service hours were completed during the past grant years and FAITH MBC contributed to preparing meals and serving the community.
